Immunizations
Palmer Community Health offers vaccine to children under 18 who do NOT have insurance or Title 19 (Medicaid). The vaccines we use are provided by a grant through the Iowa Department of Public Health, which limits who we are allowed to offer vaccines to.
Infant shots start at two months. We provide the required vaccines that a child will need to attend daycare/preschool/school. Palmer Community Health also offers vaccines for adolescents and adult by private pay. We do not bill private insurance; however a receipt is provided to the client so that it may be submitted for reimbursement by the insured.
Vaccinations are provided by appointment or during WIC (Women, Infant, Children) clinics monthly (in West Union and Oelwein) and through outreach programs organized with Allen Hospital. For a listing of clinics and programs offered, refer to Palmer Community Health's calendar.
